Project Scotland mainstreaming National Service…

October 23, 2007 · Leave a Comment

When Concert Corps hosted Servearoo in Manchester, NH this past June, we never claimed or pretended to be the first service-for-show event out there.  Sure, the BoostMobile Rock Corps is doing it with a more MTV-esque approach and our friends over at 10,000 Hours Shows have been doing it on college campuses with concerts featuring the likes of Guster, Ben Folds, Cake, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, and others – all in trade for 10 hours of community service.

I got an e-mail this afternoon from Mike Brooks, founder of 10,000 Hours Shows, who introduced me to yet another organization doing similar work in the worlds of service and music.  America, please welcome Voltage by Project Scotland and their phenomenal marketing campaign!
